At Tulia Counselling and Consulting, we believe in the power of therapy to transform lives. Our approach is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and evidence-based practices designed to meet the unique needs of each individual we serve. Whether you're navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, or relationship challenges, we offer a range of therapeutic modalities to support you on your journey towards healing and growth.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is a powerful therapy approach that helps individuals process traumatic memories and experiences. Through a series of guided eye movements, taps, or sounds, EMDR facilitates the brain's natural healing process, allowing clients to reprocess distressing memories and alleviate associated symptoms. We provide a safe and supportive environment for healing and transformation.

DBT

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

DBT combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy with mindfulness practices to help individuals regulate emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and cope with distressing situations. We provide skills training and support to help clients build a life worth living and overcome challenges.

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

ACT is a mindfulness-based therapy approach that emphasizes acceptance of thoughts and feelings, rather than suppression or avoidance. By helping clients clarify their values and commit to meaningful action, ACT empowers individuals to live authentically and pursue their goals, even in the face of adversity. We offer practical tools and techniques to help clients cultivate psychological flexibility and resilience.

CBT

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

CBT is a widely recognized and effective therapy approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. By teaching clients practical skills and strategies, CBT helps individuals develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve lasting change. We work collaboratively with clients to cultivate greater self-awareness and resilience.

EFT

Emotion-Focused Therapy

EFT is a humanistic therapy approach that focuses on exploring and processing emotions to facilitate healing and transformation. By deepening emotional awareness and fostering authentic expression, EFT helps individuals develop more satisfying relationships and a greater sense of self-acceptance. We provide a safe and nurturing space for clients to explore and integrate their emotions.

ERP

Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy

ERP is a specialized therapy approach used to treat anxiety disorders, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and phobias. By gradually exposing individuals to feared stimuli and preventing maladaptive responses, ERP helps clients overcome their fears and regain control over their lives. Our ERP therapists provide structured exposure exercises and support to help clients confront their fears in a safe and controlled environment.
